Snake Canyon is a hard working, blue collar, heavy rock band from the streets of New York City, their rough-edged sound is influenced by bands like Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Black Flag and Bad Brains. Their sound incorporates solid grooves, mind-crushing riffs, in-your-face vocals, dark subject matter and memorable compositions. Fighting their way through the crush of local bands vying for an audience in the unforgiving underground rock scene of the East Village, Snake Canyon has distinguished themselves by walking the line between Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, appealing to audiences for both genres while eluding stereotyping. The band has become respected and recognized among their peers for their no-nonsense attitude and powerful live performances. Constantly building their following through a grassroots approach, Snake Canyon is proud to present their new album "Too Damn High" to audiences around the East Coast, and to any listeners in the online universe.

The lead singer, SuperMorgan, is a man of many talents and an unmistakable charisma. He has been a rock journalist, a DJ, and an event producer, who was once described as an "infamous scenester," due to his long-term tenure in the NYC rock world. His biggest influences as a singer are Paul DiAnno, Ian Gillan, and Brian Johnson, with the likes of Dee Snider, Jimmy Gestapo, and Henry Rollins having the most impact on him in his role as front man.

Joe Hogan (guitar)
Joe Hogan, one of the band’s two guitarists, has been widely known for his impeccable skill, hook-laden riffs, and highly energetic stage presence. Joe is an audio engineer that has worked with a varied stable of great musicians, such as Rosanne Cash, The Turbo AC’s, Helmet, Murphy’s Law and is currently behind amazing live sound of The Blue Man Group. As Joe eloquently said once about the identity of Snake Canyon, “We may be not doing anything new, but what we do is real and true.”

The band’s other guitarist, AJ, is known for his Motorhead-meets-Slayer approach to playing, and life, and for his membership in the super-heavy, super-badass local band Jesus Knevil. His perpetually driving riffs complement Joe Hogan’s skilled finesse to dual-guitar perfection.

Vance Garcia, the band’s bass player, comes from a storied family tree of talented musicians. He is known for his heartfelt, full bodied funked up sound that stimulates your mind and soothes your soul, elevating the whole band’s sound to the next level of sonic mastery.

He delivers high energy grooves with a hard hitting style that keeps punching like a heavy weight prize fighter. Beware; his high energy playing is intended to mow you down.
